Phoenix Supply Continue Support For Older People

Phoenix Supply were one of several organisations which recently supported Age Sector Platform's annual general meeting at the Holiday Inn on Belfast's Ormeau Avenue.
The meeting pulled in a crowd of over 120 people representing various interested parties. Speakers on the day included Baroness May Blood MBE, who spoke passionately about her own personal views and indeed her role as an older person's advocate.
Bill Carson, Chairman of Age Sector Platform, reflected:
“This year’s meeting was a real success, and we are delighted that so many older people from across Northern Ireland were able to attend. I would like to thank all the organisations who supported Age Sector Platform on the day by providing much valued information of interest to the older population.”
“The next year will be an important one for us as an organisation representing the interests of older people. Inevitable budget cuts by government departments will mean we must work harder to protect the interests of older people here.”
